How Auto Shipping/Auto Transport Works – Demo by Dependable Auto Shippers

Ever wonder how vehicles are moved across the country? At some point, every vehicle in the US is delivered on an auto transport trailer similar to this one– whether vehicles are headed to the dealership or are being relocated by the owner.

uShip teams up with Dependable Auto Shippers, the industry’s most experienced auto transport service, to give a step-by-step demo on the proper way to load a BMW M6 for shipment. DAS offers tips to shipping customers on preparing their vehicle for shipment and requesting the proper placement on the transport trailer. (Demo starts @ 4:03)

This was filmed just outside uShip HQ in Austin, TX in 104 degree heat.

  1. uShip is about the worst way to ship your vehicle. Add to that… DAS (the truck company) absolutely failed at everything and is now defunct and out of business. This might be the most hilarious video on YouTube for those of us that actually haul cars!! Btw, All the transport companies that comment "Very educational" or "thanks for sharing" obviously don't have a clue… might want to heavily consider doing business with those brokers or carriers. Once again… hilarious!

  2. its, better than hiring a broker to fuck you up. Can you imagine paying someone Xtra just to cheat you over . I just figure how this transporting business works. It's pretty fucked up

  3. WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T TRUST DAS. THEY ARE COMPLETE LIYERS. THEY HIRE 3RD PARTY CARRIERS TO DO THEIR TRANSPORT AND THEN DON'T PAY THE CARRIER. THEY HAVE THE WORST RATING ON DISPATCH BOARDS. THEY IGNORE YOUR EMAILS AND THEN MAKE UP EXCUSES FOR NOT PAYING. IF YOU WANT TO SHIP YOUR CAR, DO SOME REASEARCH AND DON'T EVER USE DAS.

  4. To Dependable Auto Shippers thank you very much for shipping my car from
Florida to Cleveland and giving me great price I will be doing business
with you in the near future and so will my family Thank You Leona Davis

  5. When they hire a carrier company to transport one of their orders, they end up scamming the carrier by not paying them at all. On the load board they have hundreds of negative rating by other carriers for that same reason. The client pays the full amount to DAS for the transport, and DAS doesn't pay the carrier. Please don't ever call them, you will have a lot of headacbe as you can see the negative comments by previous clients underneath.

  6. hi my name is Ian mcdonald,i be leave some one is trying to scam me at the moment,i saw a american RV in the states for $3000 ,they have come back to me they can ship it to my home address in the UK for $2000 and say delivery time is approx 2///////////4 days shipping time and i now on the water is longer than that,i would have thought 11 days, they also say pay the monies to amerzon in full before delivery and no monies will be paid to the seller until i have inspected the goods first, this i am sure is a scam even the pictures of the van is different to the one on the web,the person says she is a LT COL in the MARINES name PATRICIA and that she is at sea for 6 mths and cannot get to use the phone.ian

  7. You realize you could have put that crv in #4 and had an easier time securing it and still unloaded it second if you wanted. If you are going to post a video of car hauling don't look like a noob.

  8. I've got news  for everyone wanting to ship a car on uship. Unless you get a bid from a one car trailer owner operator . Most likely you will receive bids from brokers , if you accept a brokers bid , he'll put your car on a load board which is viewable for anybody with a truck and trailer. A guy i know did this and his car ended up halfway around the country and when he finally found it the guys hauling it could barely speak english, he had to wire them the money for fuel to get his car to the state he lived in. this is only one of many horror stories , your car could end up in a transfer yard and sit there for a couple weeks also. Now some people have great experiences but others dont be careful who you choose to ship your car.Stick with the one truck one trailer owner operators!
