The call for immediate action to implement crucial reforms in both electoral and judicial systems was made by Mr. Auwal Ibrahim Musa (Rafsanjani), the Executive Director of the Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CISLAC). Addressing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Musa stressed the urgency of these reforms to alleviate the suffering of Nigerians.

In a statement provided to the Saturday Tribune, Mr. Musa, who also heads the Transition Monitoring Group (TMG), highlighted the pressing need to tackle the rising cost of living in Nigeria. He attributed this issue to policies implemented since the start of the current administration.

Reflecting on the conclusion of the 2023 general election cycle, Mr. Musa emphasized the importance of respecting the Supreme Court's verdict, despite potential reservations among some Nigerians regarding the appeals of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and the Labour Party (LP) candidate, Mr. Peter Obi. Musa called upon Nigerians to take up the responsibility of holding the administration accountable by advocating for transparency at all levels.
