Boyfriend Apprehended in Connection with the Incident
In a tragic incident, a young woman has reportedly lost her life during an intimate encounter with her boyfriend, identified as a barber in Ilorin, Kwara State. The state's police command has taken the boyfriend into custody in connection with the incident.
This unfortunate event transpired on Monday at a Guest House located in the Temidire community, Offa Garage area, Ilorin. Sources suggest that the boyfriend may have been under the influence of substances, possibly in an attempt to impress his girlfriend, leading to an unexpected turn of events.
According to one source, "The girl is said to have become fatigued during the encounter and eventually succumbed." The boyfriend immediately raised an alarm when she lost consciousness, prompting the staff of the guest house to intervene.
Prompt action was taken to transport the young woman to a nearby hospital, where, sadly, she was pronounced deceased. Subsequently, the proprietor of the guest house promptly reported the incident to the Police 'A' Division in Ilorin. The middle-aged man was subsequently apprehended.
The spokesperson for the state police command, Okasanmi Ajayi, confirmed the incident on Tuesday, stating, "The state police command has taken the man into custody, and a thorough investigation is underway to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding the tragic event."
